Chapters 1-5:
The story beings with Nora and Vee, her best friend, in the first day biology class. Their teacher her biology class is Couch McConaughy. He suggest that the class should get assigned seats, which Nora and Vee disagree with. Even though they disagree, he insisted one changing seats so he made Nora sit next to a senior that was a transfer. The assignment for the day was to get to know each others partner and it would be turned in for the next day. Patch , her biology partner , starts asking questions about her.Even though they just met Patch seems to know Nora very well, too well. When the class ends Nora knows nothing about Patch. So he give his number to her . Later that evening she calls him and he is in the middle of a pool game. No wanting to get a bad grade in biology she goes to Bo's Arcade and asks him questions there.Even tough she asks him questions she feels like he is hiding something from her something bad. The next day in biology the Couch asks questions qualities that you will look for in a mate.Patch then flirts with Nora. At the end of class Nora and Vee try to change the Coach's idea about the seating charts however he do not change his mind. Later on in the day Vee and Nora go to the library. Vee than confronts Nora about her liking Patch. Next they see Patch at the library too. When Nora decides to go home it is dark , foggy, and rainy so she gets in her car and drives of to her house.All of a sudden a man all dressed in black with a ski mask appears. He was tearing the door off the car. He smashed the window while Nora was trying to push the gas pedal. However the car is going no where. Finally the car when and the man held on to Nora's arm. When he let go she finally drove all the way home crying. She then called Vee and told her want had happened and drove back to Vee's house and slept over. The next morning Nora and Vee go to a coffee shop and meet Jules and Elliot.They were transfers from Kinghorn Prep.
Chapters 5-10:
In the next chapters Vee has an brilliant idea.She wants Nora to break into the students records room and find more information about Patch. Nora goes into the front office and asks the secretary if she was suppose to register her prescription with the nurse.The secretary says yes and tells her to go to the nurses office and wait. Instead she goes to the student records room and looks for Patches file. She finds his file however was nothing in it. An hour later Nora and Vee went to a Mexican restaurant to eat. While they were there Patch was was there also.While he was there he invited her to a party however Nora's did not want to go because it was a school night.The next day Elliot came to her P.E class. They were going to play a game of baseball.When she was up to swing she heard Patch's voice in her head.After that game Elliot asks her if she wanted to go to Delphic Seaport with Vee and Jules.And she agrees to his request.On that Saturday night Vee and Nora drive to Delphic Amusement park to meet Elliot and Jules. All of the sudden Nora saw Patch was in the arcade.Next Elliot arrived and began to play foosball with Vee. Nora goings over to Patch to say hi so Vee would quit bothering her. Patch says for her to meet him at the Archangel ride after talking to Vee.When they got on the ride Nora felt scared because she hates heights.During the ride Nora noticed that her seat belt had come undone.She wanted to scream but could not. The door flung open and she few out of the car. However Patch was putting those images in her mind and none of it really happened.Next they went back to the arcade, Vee and Elliot were nowhere to be found. Patch offered to take her home on his motor cycle. When they got to her house Patch pulled out the keys and opened the door. Patch decided to make tacos.After eating Patch starts to flirting was Nora. Suddenly Nora's mom calls and Nora tells Patch he needs to leave.Before he leaves he gives the address to the party for tomorrow night.
Chapters 10-15:
Later that night Nora's phone rang she answered it and it was Vee. Vee thought Nora had been kidnapped or something worse. Nora explained that she was with Patch and he drove her home. Nora was tired so she and Vee said goodbye. But before they did Nora promised she would go shopping with Vee tomorrow.On the next day they went shopping to Victoria Secrets. When they were there Nora thought someone was following her. So Nora and Vee switched jackets and went out of the store. Thinking Vee was Nora someone attacked Vee. Nora ran to Vee and called 911. Vee murmured someone and stole her handbag. Soon enough the ambulance came and took Vee to the hospital.The next day Nora could not wait for school to end so she could visit Vee in the hospital. Vee's left arm was broken and had to have surgery because it was not aligned right. Nora had missed two meeting with the guidance consular so she went to the offfice. The new guidance conslar was there, Miss Greene. She warns Nora about Patch and says not to ever be alone with him. After Nora went to the library to use the computers so she can find more about Patch , however no information showed up. Next Nora searched for Elliot and surprisingly this came up" Student Question In Kinghorn Prep Murder". When Nora see Elliot she quickly turns off the computer and goes to the hospital to see Vee. When Vee got out of the hospital they celebrate and go to the restaurant called Bonderlivies. Patch was not working that night and Nora wanted to ask his co works about him. So she disguised herself has an employee. She starts to ask questions when employee mentioned that he was filling in for someone tonight.She runs off the the bathroom to change and finds Patch standing there.He reads the list of questions she had made to ask his co works and he laughs at her. When she went home she saw a the same man in her room with a ski mask goignt through her room and messing it up. Nora runs downstairs and calls 911.When the police arrived and went up to her room everything was to her surprise back to normal.
Chapters 15-20:
Nora believes that Elliot was the one in her room that night. Because he of his past with the murder investigation. On Saturday night Patch meets Nora's mother. After asking Patch some questions it seems she does disapprove of him. The next day Nora talk to Vee about the scar on Patch's back. It was shaped like a up side down V.Nora thinks back the the ride her and Patch rode on, the Archangel. On the painting of it there was an angel that had the same scar. So Nora goes online to search about them and finds out that Patch could be a fallen angel. Nora feel asleep with those thoughts in her mid.
Chapters 20-25:
The next morning Elliot knock on her door and Nora smelt alcohol in his breath. Elliot wanted to get inside her house but sh e did not want to wake her mom. When she turned down Elliot's request he got made and drilled his fist into the house and punched it.Next he asks he to come camping with him and Jules. She says she has plans. When heard this he shoved her against the house. Nora's mom just came on time and Elliot left. Next Nora wants to find more information about Elliot so she goes to Portland in a bus with her cell phone. She goes in to a place called Blind Joe's diner hoping to ask about Kjirsten, the girl who died. She found out that Elliot had brought Kjirsten an apartment. Next she received a text from Vee saying to meet her at a party with Jules and Elliot. The only reason Nora is going to go is to bring Vee back home. Nora takes the bus and then starts walking in the direction the driver had said to go. On her way there she meets a women with raggedy old clothes. And tells Nora she is going the wrong way. She will only tell her the right way in if she gives her her coat. She gives it to her and the women tells her the way. She walks away and then realizes that her phone was in the coat pocket so she goes back to get it.When she gets back the women was dead.She goes to the phone booth and calls Patch and tells him to pick her up.He picks her up and the car breaks down.So they go into a motel to find a phone. They get a room in a cheap hotel and Nora gets a hot shower. When she comes out Patch is shirt less and she sees his scars and touches them. Suddenly she goes into a whole new different world. She sees Patch and tries to talk to him however he can not see her. Also she sees Miss Greene. Nora finds out that Dabria/ Miss Greene was Patch's ex girlfriend. She was trying to convince him to become an angel again because he had fallen.The only way he could do the was save a Nelphim's life. However Patch wanted to become human and to do so he had to kill Nora who was related to a Nelphim. When Nora gets out of the vision and back into real life Patch was mad. He knew she saw something but did not know what. Nora started to freak and and scram. She thought he want to kill her and he did admit he was going to. But than he fell i love with her. He told her to put her hand on his scars so she could trust him. So she did and saw Patch with his best friend Rixon. Rixon was saying Chashvan starts tonight and Patch could take over Chauncey body. However Patch was not listening he asked him about the book of enoch. Which was a book about a fallen angel becoming human.Patch wanted to become human in order to do that he had to kill his Nephil vassal.. Then Nora came back to real life and told him what what she saw. Nora said she saw Drabria the school consular and he did not know she was on earth. So Patch wanted to go to the school to check her school records.
Chapters 25-30:
Patch drops her off at home. She calls Vee but she was not answering the phone.Out of no where Dabrai appeared. She wants to get rid of Nora so that her and Patch could be together. She tells Nora that she was the one who attacked Vee at the store. And she put images in Vee's head to make it seem like Patch did it so Nora could not get close to Patch. The Dabrai sets Nora's house on fire. Nora escapes by Patch coming to save her. He tells her to get into his car and lock the doors and drive to Delphic. She goes into the moive theater to find Vee and Patch finds her and he was mad.He took her to the girls bathroom and talked to her about his past and how he was not going to kill her. Nora calls Vee and Vee picks up and says they broke into the school and were playing hide and seek.Vee is in danger so they go to the school. Patch's tells Nora to wait inside the car but when he is taking to long she goes inside herself. It was dark inside the school. Then she finds a died body that looked like Jules'. She is worried and frighten about Vee if Eliot had killed her yet. Next she finds Elliot and he was dying. All of a sudden Jules comes out of no where and says"did you think I was dead? He had put and image in her mind so she would think that he was dead. He slapped her and hit her. He watched to get revenge on Patch for making him take an oath so that Patch could take over his body.
Nora runs and find Vee who was hurt and told her to get out of the school and call the police.Jules finds Nora and takes her to the roof of the school and he knows she is a afraid of heights. Finally Patch come but by that time Jules had a gun pointed to Nora's head. Then Patch took over Nora's body and started to punch Jules hard.Then she ran and started to go up a ladder. Jules put an image in her head saying that there was not more ladder , however there was. Jules when after her and was pulling her down. She thought she was going to die and if she was she wanted Patch to become human. So she jumped off the ladder and fell. She woke up to find herself in bed and alive. Patch had saved her and became her guardian angel.
